Virgin Flight upgrades - BNE to LAX

I'm a platinum velocity flyer and have a flight booked in premium economy going to LAX in August. I couldn't automatically have our flights upgraded, and am on a waitinglist.

Am I likely to be upgraded, I'm assuming I would be upgraded over flyers in economy as I'm in Premium Economy? Does anyone know when the decision is likely to be made either way?

Are you upgrading with points? If so, the waitlist will advise if you are successful approx 5 days before your flight. You would receive a nice email saying "Congratulations....." and the points will have been deducted from your Velocity account.

I believe Platinum would trump SG in this instance. In the meantime, check every few days for reward availability on your flight, those seats magically appear from time to time and the waitlist will NOT check for you.
