No Q class does not. Below are the classes that do earn (taken from the Qantas website)

For flights between Maylasia and Australia/NZ/Europe the following classes will earn BHKLMVY (Discount Economy), ACDFIJZ (Flexible Economy)

(note that First and Business class earn at Flexible economy classes on flights between Maylasia and Australia/NZ/Europe)

on all other flights KLMV (Discount Economy), BH (Economy), Y (Flex Economy), CDIJZ (Business) and AF (First).

Which is a shame because the MH regional product is quite good, full service, always pushes back on time and generally have great crew.  Connections through KLIA intra-Asia are vast and convenient.  This is a Oneworld relationship Qantas and indeed Emirates should be exploiting much more instead of dumping people onto no-frills Jetstar for intra-Asian flights connecting through SIN.

It is certainly value for money, particularly in Business for elite status accrual purposes.

But I wouldn't go as far as saying the product is good. Crappy food and beverage - the KUL inflight caterers they use is rubbish. 737-800 that is past its prime - Cabin interiors look shabby. Yes the crew is consistently poised and  professional, but I would not fly MH and spend money in Business class if not for the OW alliance.
