Call me a skeptic, but I suspect they knew all along that it was super unlikely to stack up and that it would be a great PR campaign. Just look at all the free TV, Online and Newspaper space they got with the ‘experiment' flights. Lots of positive stories about the 787, the seats, the food etc. P...
