    Looking at flight availability, Tuesday 23 June 2020 will be the swansong for the 747 to Santiago with QF27 changing to 787 on 24 June 2020 for QF27/28 rotation

  • Trying to book QF9 MEL-PER

    QF are running such a tight schedule at the moment with aircraft that QF9/10 is been turned around in Perth instead of continuing through to Melbourne and a 737 or A330 (when available) is used for the domestic portion of this flight.

  • Getting QF codeshare on Cathay Pacific operated flights.

    I strongly suspect this is due to traffic rights. QF code on CX flights are ok if you are only transiting in Hong Kong, but if you are stopping over in Hong Kong then QF code/flight number is not be permitted and hence not showing. This leg will then need to be booked under the CX flight number.

    Noticing this change comes into effect pretty much the same time SYD/SFO/SYD changes from 747 to 787 (give or take a day or two), therefore assuming given the times of SFO arrival and departures into SYD this is to keep the aircraft operational rather than sitting on the ground for the day in SYD
