A luggage-eye view of your suitcase's trip through the airport

You're probably a pro at finding your way from checkin to the plane -- but how does your luggage make it through the airport?

Finland's Helsinki Airport stuck some video cameras onto a suitcase and chucked it on the baggage belt to show how your luggage wends its way through the airport's maze of baggage transportation systems.

The gentleness of the process will be welcome reassurance to business travellers -- or a poignant reminder to anyone who's had their "indestructible" suitcase come out on the belt looking like a jumbo jet just landed on it...

Have a fantastic weekend — and safe travels if you're on the road. We'll see you on Monday, unless we see you on Twitter first: we're @AusBT.

Aviation journalist and travel columnist John took his first long-haul flight when he was eight weeks old and hasn't looked back since. Well, except when facing rearwards in business class.
