Hey Virgin, Time to stop the overcrowding in your lounges - especially Sydney.

Maybe too many frequent flyers are getting access?

Especially the type that walk in wearing thongs

You realise that this post will send Rod H into an absolute rage unleashing his recent experience with melting ice cubes, damp drink coasters and tepid, unscented hand towels!

I was in the Virgin lounge a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty much packed even then. They seem to let the 'smart casual' dress standards slip over the Xmas-New Year holiday period I notice. The large amount of holidaymakers and recent heatwaves may have something to do with it. Or maybe it's just Virgin's "chillaxed" persona. Anyway ... I wound up exiting the lounge and opted for a coffee at a cafe in the public concourse which ironically was much more relaxing. The congestion problem is not specific to Virgin though. I was in an American Airlines Admirals club lounge in the U.S. last month and it was so overcrowded that getting a drink from the bar was like jumping into a UFC match.

at least the virgin lounge has food pre prepared and it changes each day.

not forever DIY toasted sandwiches

What I will say in criticism of the Sydney virgin lounge is they need to open the 2nd floor of it at all times, stop being cheap
