I have booked EK flights through QF and am looking to upgrade a few of the EK legs using $ (through the EK website). Do you know if I can do this on the EK site if I have booked through QF? I am on an 081 ticket. Thanks
Not possible. EK booking engine gives no access to non-EK fares to begin with. Even tickets with EK stock 176 that have been issued by travel agents cannot be upgraded online prior to flying the first leg. This bit to do with the issuing entity that controls tickets up to T-24 hours of departure.
Give QF a call and ask if you could upgrade the outbound or inbound. Some of their J fares can be combined with Y fares.
