QFF Flight Upgrade Awards - I know that QFi flight upgrade requests get processed according to QFF status. I also know that Economy passengers can jump to PE or Business. Something that cl 16 of the QFF T&Cs appears to be silent on is whether Premium Economy passengers and Economy passengers are pooled together when requesting a flight upgrade award to Business or whether they consider PY passenges and then Y passengers. Would, for instance, a QFF Gold travelling in PE beat a QFF Platinum in Y when requesting a flight upgrade award? If anyone knows the answer, I would be grateful for your advice.

And what is the question about? Theoretical study? In reality you will not be able to proof or disproof unless you have Qantas insider.

It is precisely this quality of response that leads me to question seriously my continued involvement with this forum. In what sense is my question theoretical or the subject matter with which it deals somehow difficult to comprehend? The question is directed at the problem of whether Premium Economy passengers, in descending order of QFF status, receive priority over Economy passengers, in descending order of their QFF status, in consideration for a flight upgrade award to Business class. On one hand, it would make perfect sense if they were. It is a separate cabin, a separate travel class, and fewer points are required to upgrade from Premium Economy to Business than from Economy to Business. I acknowledged that I had considered the relevant terms and conditions and my perusal of them had been fruitless. They appear to be silent on the matter, which tends to lead to the conclusion that all Premium Economy and Economy passengers are processed together. However, I genuinely wish to know the answer to the question for my future travel plans – if you did not wish to contribute constructively then it would have been better to not respond. I feel enormous sympathy for David and the team, as the quality of their journalism can be seriously undermined when some “business travellers” who contribute to the forum post comments that can only be characterized as buffoonery, prosaic trolling, or aggressive pontification about what they would do if they ran an airline, when consideration of their comments shows that they would struggle to tie their own shoelaces or understand the English language without significant assistance. Oh and by the way, I suppose that they were typographical errors when you employed the nouns “proof” and “disproof” when you meant to employ the transitive verbs “prove” and “disprove”.
