I received an email from qantas offering 100% FF bonus and 50% more status credits on new bookings on travel up to june 2015. I recently became platinum, no future bookings. Even with this offer, its a quantum leap to P1...anyone enlighten me as to how these offers are targeted? I presume there must be a science to this offer.

They want you to think that they want you to go mileage running, so you start stacking up flights like all hell to rack up miles.
Either that or you were targeted for SG to WP and they were late. LOL
