Earning QF points + SC on Cathay Pacific

So I will be living in Hong Kong for the next few months and am keen to be flying around on Cathay Pacific. Obviously I want to earn Qantas points and status credits while I do this. Does anyone know how I can ensure the tickets you purchase on Cathay will earn you miles? (Took some MH flights recently and earned 2/5 of bugger all!)

Basically only Y gets full Economy

BHKLMV get Discount Economy SCs and 0.5 points/mile (note no minimum points or status bonuses apply)

Everything else gets you zero.

Note that flights between Australia and Asia earn half points on partners compared to on QF code
