Am flying Air New Zealand SYD-NRT-SYD via AKL this week. As a VA Plat flyer I know that I have the usual access to Koru Club, however NZ have no KC in NRT.

Has any other VA Plat members had experience in lounges in NRT?

I think I can pay ~$50 for a day pass at the DL lounge.... any other thoughts? Obvs SQ lounge is out of the question as I'm flying NZ.

Thanks!

Both NZ and SQ are Star Alliance members, and both recognise the VA status. Depending what travel class, and codeshares etc, I would recommend at least trying SQ lounge, as they say, you never know your luck in the big city. All the best!

What a long way to go just to get to Tokyo... even if you want lounge access.

Other than QF and low-cost carriers, indirect routes are the only way to get to NRT from SYD. Eg: SYD-SIN-NRT on SQ/VA (which has just as much air time as SYD-AKL-NRT on NZ)
