Morning all. Just a quick question for you. Hopefully someone can clarify this for me. I have an ANZ frequent flyer platinum credit card. In previous years gone by I have only been charged around $150 for the annual fee. On the anz website they say that the annual fee is now $295. Has anyone out there got the same card and if so what were you charged?

$295 here.  Cancelling it soon due to the points capping.  Will look at the "Black" offerings.

I noticed that the fee of $295 was for new applicants. I have had this platinum card for several years now. Maybe I might be getting my hopes up thinking the banks will still charge me the old fee. Only time will tell. How long have you had yours for 11sjw?

2-3 years i believe, can't remember off hand.  However the fee was always $295 from when I took it on.  The killer to the value proposition was the points capping.  Given I have some work as well as personal expenditure to run through the card each month I'll easily exceed the $6,000 cut off.

I have also decided to terminate my ANZ QF FF Platinum card this year. Currently checking out the HSBC Platinum Credit Card (current offer for no annual fees for life (saving $129 p.a. in usual fes) but points wil not automatically accrue to QF) and HSBC Platinum Qantas Credit Card ($199 p.a. fee, 20K bonus points, 2x QF points for overseas spend, 1x QF point for domestic spend). I think (but this needs to be confirmed) the cap is 300,000 points p.a. (incl any bonus points)

Our (we have sep. cards) ANZ Plats fit well with abot a $6K monthly spend each and 1.5 QFF points per $, plus that free travel insurance.
