I will be visiting Bordeaux in France for a week in October. Can anyone suggest some up-market restaurants near or in the city centre to try? Preferably 1 or 2 Michelin stars and French cuisine.

If you don't get any specific suggestions here, then perhaps go to FNAC when you arrive and buy a Michelin guide. Have English versions plus a guide of more modest eating guides as well

Its 13 km out of Bordeaux but I would suggest La Grand'Vigne at Les Sources de Caudalie. Even the La Table du Lavoir is worht a visit. Great place to stay if you were so inclined.
