Tried to book an overseas flight (Singapore Air) in December in economy.

Tried to book an overseas flight (Singapore Air) in December in economy. At seat selection only one available seat is left for me to pick! Prefer an aisle seat but the only available seat is a middle seat.

Any chance other seats could become available close to or by the time December comes around? Or do I have no choice but take that available seat?

December is peak time with passengers due to holidays so unfortunately it will be rare to find a seat. Have you tried alternate dates?  I know it doesn't get as busy on xmas and Boxing Day.
