When is the Qantas 737 refurbishment starting? And is it true that all 67 will be getting an extra row of seats and also refurbished seats? It seems weird that even the new 23 BSI 737s will already be getting a refurb let alone the 5 they had delivered last year?

When? as far all the searching I have done, still only mentions 'mid 2016', so I'm none the wiser.  True ALL 737s will get the extra row. The current fixed AVOD seats will be refurbished, and the non AVOD seats will also be reburbished BUT....I will take an 'uneducated guess', the non fixed AVOD MAY be replaced with a new moulded/insert ipad holder, similar to the new ipad holders being fitted to the refurb A332s.  For reference picture go to QANTAS.COM- select 'Fly' / 'Onboard' / 'Entertainment' / 'Domestic'.  The difference will be, that on the refurb 737 there will be NO QF supplied ipad ( ie BYO device), whereas the A332s have QFsupplied ipads. Note also the non fixed AVOD 737s will retain their 'communal' drop down screens that will still show inflight TV/programmes.  Not really strange about a refurb on the newest BSIs, a refurb programme involves many aspects...including lead times/supply of other fixtures/fittings (new galley/toilet modules) AND timing/schedules/maintenance etc..QF maintains the 737 refurb programme will be completed within 12months (ie mid2016).  Sorry for the long post. Just trying to cover all bases :)
