Just got this email from Accor

In celebration of our Qantas Frequent Flyer and Le Club AccorHotels partnership, we're offering you a complimentary one year membership to Qantas epiQure valued at $99!1 Hurry, offer ends 30 Sept 2015.

Is this worth following up?

Qantas epiQure offers Frequent Flyers access to the wines served in Qantas First and Business, plus a great range of other quality international, iconic Australian and boutique wines2. You will enjoy Qantas Points with every purchase and free delivery within Australia.

I was already an Epiqure member, but signed up anyway and it automatically extended my membership by 8 months. There are worse offers going around...

Speaking of offers, almost at the same time as the epiQure email, I received and email from Qantas offering 50% bonus on Accor Le Club points transfered as part of turning on automatic conversion of your points.  Right now thanking my lucky stars I've been too lazy to move the last years worth of points over.

The email offer....

"Reach your destination sooner - set your 'automatic conversion' to Qantas Frequent Flyer now and for all Le Club AccorHotels Points that convert to Qantas Points before 30 November 2015, you'll earn a bonus of 50% more Qantas Points"

Originally I thought well this is handy and I will sweep my Accor points over.

However as 2000 accor points = Eur40, that is more valuable than 2000 Qantas FF points. Even with the 50% extra.

So I am not transfering my accor points. Unless someone has a better calculation of the value of the qantas points???

As for the Epicure if one joins, according to the epicure website, one will receive a free bottle of champagne or port. So for that I will join. Again unless someone knows that for this offer one doesnt recieve the joining gift???

Turns out one doesn't get the free gift. Just another mailing list. Prices offered seem to be similar to my local bottle shop.
