Does anyone know if/when Australia are going to increase their traffic rights to Qatar for SYD,BNE,MEL and PER. Just hoping Qatar airways can start Brisbane flights soon.

They only just obtained a 50% increase last last year which has enabled them to commence SYD flights. I can't see any further increases in the short term, but i'm sure it'll happen at some point.

They only just increased it from 14 flights/week (that QR was using for daily flights to MEL and PER) to 21 (which got used to add flights to SYD). ADL doesn't come under the cap thus flights there are unlimited. QR could also start flights to CNS, OOL, CBR and/or DRW tomorrow without an increase.
A number of Air Service Agreements (such as UAE and China) have been getting increases yearly. If the same applies for the Qatar agreement, they'll get another 7 flights/week at the end of October.
