The EU has summonsed US Govt officials so as to 'share' more information as to the 'why'. They appear to be leaning towards refusing the request - which then opens the possibility of all non-compliant flights from the US to the US being banned...

The US and EU have apparently rejected expanding a laptop ban on flights from Europe.
