I'm keen to get a bit of brief info from those who've applied for a travel exemption to leave Australian in the last few months, even if it was denied. I think it might be a useful resource for others too.
If you're willing to share, perhaps comment with the destination, reason for travel, duration of stay, turnaround time and whether it was approved?

Applied at 9.15am today, approved by 10am. Grounds for leaving was travelling overseas for more than three months. Process was very easy.
