I don't really have an issue uploading my certificate to Qantas. You are not uploading your entire medical record, just this one certificate. If ever there's a data breach and it becomes widely known that I received the jab, I couldn't care less.

Has anyone actually worked out how to upload it though?

The instructions say to download the cert from myGov, then upload to the Qantas app. On an Android phone, where do you find the certificate that was allegedly downloaded from myGov? I can't see it anywhere under MyFiles.

You will need to copy it to the Myfiles/download directory. Qantas app won't recognised unless its in the directory

Yes, well that is the question, how do I get it there? The Medicare app give me the option to "Save to phone", but not to choose where I save it to. I can save it to Google Pay, and view it there. But it still doesn't give me a location where to upload it from onto the Qantas app

Had a helpful lady on the Qantas FF line who manually adjusted those points for me.

Still don't know how the upload through the app is supposed to work though.

You should have the "save offline" option. Well, at least that's what I can see on my Medicare app

Yes, tried that. After I saved offline, that button disappeared, so obviously it's done something, or thinks it did.

The actual certificate still can't be found anywhere though.

If you don't want it, don't get it. But you'll probably find yourself in the minority considering most people would be very willing to get the vaccination, especially if it means getting to travel again soon. What you see as deplorable, others see as necessary in protecting their family and community. If Qantas choose to reward people for that, then so be it. Your opinion on the matter doesn't change the fact that vaccination is the only way the travel and tourism industry will return to normal.

I wouldn't expect anything less a response from sheeple. I will be travelling again but will wait until longer study profile has been completed. I'm personally looking 2024. By then other drug regimes and vaccines would have been developed eg novamax and problems with current experimental mrna Vax would hopefully be sorted.

Congratulations for taking this experiment it's certainly worth a 1000 miserable points or 15 stars credits 🤣🤣🤣

This may shock you, but 1000 frequent flyer points wasn't the deciding factor in getting vaccinated. I, like others, chose to do so before Qantas' promo. But don't let that get it the way of whatever point it is you're trying to make.

Between the name calling, the emoji's and the uninformed dribble you're preaching, it's hard to take you seriously.

Until then, stay safe.

Speak for yourself. I only do things for the benefit of my health for frequent flyer points. Look forward to Qantas giving me 1000 points for all the other things that may benefit my health...

Its kinda tricky. On the Medicare App home page, at the bottom there is an "offline items". This will take you to the PDF file (you are right, it doesn't show you the location). From there, just share the file to your email and then copy the file into the downloads directory.

But I agree, I hope they fix this as its a lot of work just to get the file into the directory Qantas App expect.

Hmmm... I don't actually have any "offline items" mentioned on my Medicare home page. Tried the menu as well, there's nothing about offline items there either. On the covid-19 certificate page the only option available now is "save to phone", which saves it to Google Pay.

I certainly wouldn’t want to sit next to an unvaccinated person on a 24 hour flight to Europe

Great idea QANTAS
