DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown hotel opens in New Zealand

The DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown hotel debuts this week in New Zealand’s South Island, taking over the former Kawarau Hotel amidst the bustling Kawarau Village.

Standing at 98 rooms, the property is a short drive or water taxi from the centre of Queenstown and like all DoubleTree hotels, guests are served a warm chocolate chip cookie when checking-in.

Guests at property can unwind in contemporary guest rooms with fully-fitted kitchenettes including oven, microwave and fridge facilities to provide all the comforts of home.

Many rooms also come with sweeping views of Lake Wakatipu (below) and feature an adjoining lounge area decorated in a modern alpine style.

Hilton HHonors members staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown can now earn and redeem HHonors points during their travels, while 5,000 bonus HHonors points are up for grabs on stays of three or more nights.

You’ll just need to book by December 9 2014, visit through February 9 2015 and attach your membership number to the reservation for a cool 5,000 points.
