Rydges Sydney Central hotel to open next month

Loyal Rydges guests will be spoilt for choice in Sydney from next month, with the global chain opening Rydges Sydney Central on the southern end of the financial district.

Taking over from the Sebel Surry Hills on April 7, the Albion Street property will feature 271 guest rooms, with free wi-fi available to all guests.

Located just two minutes from Central Station and 10 minutes to China Town, the property is well-positioned for business and leisure travellers alike.

Boasting an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna and a rooftop terrace, travellers will surely find a number of ways to relax.

The property features two watering holes: Bar Surry Hills – a venue focussed on draught beers and cocktail mixology, and Albies Restaurant & Bar – open daily for breakfast and dinner six days a week under the oversight of Executive Chef Rick Fowden.

Conference organisers will find nine flexible function rooms, with space for up to 220 guests in the largest space.

As a member of the Global Hotel Alliance, tiered GHA Discovery members will have access to their usual perks and privileges at this Rydges hotel – including free room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out.

Members of Rydges’ Priority Guest Rewards could instead choose to earn points towards free nights, along with discounts on food and beverage and savings of up to 10% when booking online.
