Just received the email saying I've been matched to Platinum. Have logged into account and it's showing there too. Sent first email evening of 18/5. Received acknowledgement and service request number 26/5. Was never asked for a paper statement.

Doesn't hurt to check every day.. EK availability does come and go, so you might get lucky. I once snagged 2x J SYD-DXB on Boxing Day about 6 weeks before.

Yup, same experience. Takes ages, but once that 20 day period is over, call them and it happens relatively quickly.
