• Specifically re students i am certain that Chinese students are the largest foreign contingent. The fact is many no longer want to come or return to Australia for many different reasons, the number 1 being advice from the Chinese Govt. They have been badly treated and will look at more welcoming ...

  • Europe opens to Australian visitors

    Jul 03, 2020, 12:15 AM

Believe (EU) and by default the UK (until they leave of course) has seen the light and recognised the need to open up their economies to/visitors from low risk countries. On the other hand A,NZ can continue to isolate themselves for as long as the politicians want (and public opinion supports) bu...

  • If Qantas doesn't want to fly then let the foreign carriers take up the slots until such time that Q decides its open for business again. Serving the public interest comes first and actually supports Australian economy even if Q decides to sit on sidelines.

  • Australia and Qantas closed for business until 2021. Australia is the worlds largest island and is behaving like it. Middle East airlines leading the way followed by Asian carriers. On the other hand A,NZ can continue to isolate themselves for as long as the politicians want (and public opin...

  • Public relations disaster for Q. They jumped too early on compensating some FFs without thinking it through and ended up upsetting alot of loyal customers who have been left out in the cold. One can only hope they look at this again after the dust settles.

  • CX is the best service in Asia in my opinion. The only thing that lets them down is older planes on short haul intra Asia flights. If timing is not an issue take CX enjoy the first class lounge and the extra status credits.

  • The supposed first class lounge is just a business class lounge at best. Why they restrict access to the Al Safwa makes no business sense because who wants to fly to Doha anyway? Unless they are in transit or going there for work. QR should be trying to attract business class/emerald OW FFs! Poor...

  • I tried claiming points on line for a Finnair flight in Biz class and it just came back invalid sector! Total rubbish and no recourse to anyone. The non in-flight service of Qantas has virtually disappeared in last 5+years.
