Qantas Boeing 787s headed for Johannesburg, Tokyo
May 27, 2020, 12:26 PMIt wouldn't be hard to imagine them only keeping the 6 refurb'd A380s and retiring the others. A380 would base in SYD with all long haul flights from Melbourne on the Dreamliner. This could help them launch the long discussed MEL-DFW to help with the decrease in capacity to LAX

Qantas shifts Melbourne-Tokyo flights to Haneda Airport
Dec 16, 2019, 02:30 PMWith this announcement it seems even more likely they have come to an arrangement for the airport to accommodate A380 aircraft on the SYD route which gives a boost to seats on that route while also allowing the MEL swap.

Dec 11, 2018, 06:12 PMIf flying economy I would definitely go VA over NZ. Have done both and the 3-3-3 on VA is so noticeable after flying 3-4-3 on NZ
