BA boss takes not-so-subtle dig at Ryanair

During last week's Airport Operators Association conference in London British Airways chairman Martin Broughton took not-so-subtle dig at Ryanair and its relentlessly ticket-slashing but pay-for-everything-else chief Michael O’Leary – in a joke which we expect to hear recycled at the expense of Tiger, Jetstar and other cut-price carriers.

Broughton’s tale has Ryanair boss O’Leary walk into a pub and ask for a pint of Guinness.

"That'll be £1 for you, sir" the barman says.

“Just £1?” asks a surprised O’Leary.

“Well, I’m a great fan of yours,” responds the barman.

O’Leary hands over £1 and the barman goes to pour the pint, then stops and asks: “And would you be wanting a glass with that, sir?”
