Does anybody know if Qantas has plans to re-introduce the A380 on the Sydney to Dallas route soon. I have seen that they will be flying from Melbourne to DFW starting in December with a 787. Is it likely that this means the Sydney route will also stay as a 787. Would like to be able to upgrade to first if I could, used to be a regular perk in the past.
I don’t think they have plans for the return of the A380 as it was at the limit of its range and often had to lift fewer passengers on the westbound leg. Two 787s have the same capacity and greater range. Also saves Melbourne folk changing in Sydney.
