We have booked PE flying China Airlines between BNE and TPE using Qantas rewards points. I have checked Qantas's website, and it appears that it is not possible to pay for an upgrade to business class. Has anyone been able to pay at the airport for an upgrade to business class? Thank you in advance.

I flew from BNE to TPE (do they fly from Sydney??)for work and booked with money on qantas.com PE on China airlines. There were upgrades but we were told they were very scarce and I could only get one at at the back of the cabin in the aisle. Very good crew BTW

I recently booked China Airlines PE, using QF points, on SYD-TPE-SGN and was wondering the same thing, which is how I found this post - so I figured I'd answer the question in case others do the same.
I asked at check-in and they were definitive that there were no cash upgrades (before they even knew I was on a redemption ticket), so sadly the answer is 'no'.
