I was lucky to have QF release a business class seat between BNE-LAX return, and i grabbed it. I was going for mostly leisure (and some business). Now, my circumstances have changed, where most of my trip is going to be business, and sale fares have popped up.
Would i be able to provide my ticket to a work partner, and buy a new seat for myself?
I do not think so. And above all what relationship do you have with work partner? QF not really happy when you buy reward ticket for anyone and may deny boarding. If it would be your relative then you could call QF and politely ask to change name or do return and re-buy it on other name. It would be risky to do it by yourself, but QF could do it.

Thank you. I did not want to come across as dodgy. I would be very happy to return the reward seat back to QF pool if this does not work out.
