Does anyone understand how the QF/EK alliance works with Premium Economy bookings? I am trying to book an itinerary to Europe later this year. The QF website offers options on both QF and EK in both Economy and Business classes but shows no availability on EK for Premium Economy. However, when I look at the EK website, there is availability in Economy, Premium Economy and Business class.
Is Premium Economy excluded from the JV and is that why the QF website nevers offers codeshared Premium Economy seats on EK flights?
Hard to say for sure. I'd say call Qantas and tell them you can't book it via the webpage, then they usually waive the fee. But if you don't have status it can take a while for them to pick up the call.
Probably Premium Economy is not excluded, just not loaded in Qantas system? (Or Emirates not sending them the info)

They do offer PE on both QF and EK tagged flights on EK metal. You can find it on the Qantas website on flights, for example, to Dubai and to London via Dubai.
I just checked Sydney-Dubai-London for 19/Jun/2024. Both EK415-EK5, and the QF code equivalent QF8415-QF8005, are marketing a W fare for PE. Qantas sells it on their website with QF tags.
EK hasn’t rolled out PE in all routes and aircraft. So it could be that you’re not seeing it because the Dubai to Europe leg doesn’t offer it (and EK is selling you a mixed class fare on their website). Also, Qantas doesn’t codeshare all routes out of Dubai.
