flying BKK-SYD on Emirates in F next week, departs bkk 7:50pm. need to fly from phuket-bkk. do you think a flight arriving bkk at 5:50pm is enough time to collect bags and check in for next flight?
Hi Aboudism. You might want a little more time, BKK can be very busy. From my past flights in and out of BKK the line for customs can be very very long depending on the time of day. I have waited in line for over 90 mins in the past (starting at 1630). Can i suggest arriving no later than 17;00 just to be on the safe side and the worst thing that can happen is you spend more time in the F class lounge.
Most airlines require 2/12 hrs minimum for international transfers .allow 3hrs to be safe,arrange an airport concereirge to help if you you can,makes life real easy between flights ,removes the stresses of traveling
My case, I can, I did confirm both PG BKK office and HKG office (they said 1hr 15mins connecting time) and EK HKG office. I bought EK tickets at EK HKG office directly(for this time) although I could earn extra mileages purchasing EK ticket online. I used to puchase EK ticket online. I just need to mention to the PG HKT check-in counter to check my bags all the way to HKG. For your reference, my PG flight ETA BKK at 11:45, my EK flight ETD BKK at 13:45
If you really want to make sure your flight details, check with your EK local office to make sure your itinerary is ok.

You've got an expensive flight BKK-SYD in F. I wouldn't want to risk missing it. Check the conditions of your fare.

MAKE SURE YOUR CONNECTING FLIGHT HAVE AGREEMENT WITH EK FIRST...
I booked the EK BKK-HKG in Nov. I did contact both PG and EK as I fly from HKT-(PG)-BKK-(EK)-HKG.
Both PG and EK with agreement and I double check with both before purchasing tickets from PG.
Minimum connecting time 1hr 15mins. Baggage check through all the way HKT to HKG
