booked BA to London in April, was wondering if we would be allowed in the Qantas business lounge. My mum is gold status and my two brothers and I are silver. Thanks?

Are we talking BA Silver (oneworld Sapphire) or QF Silver (oneworld Ruby), and in what cabin(s) will you be travelling?

Your mum, as QF Gold, will be allowed one guest.
I understand that the policy does not count younger children as "guests", so as Serg would say, YMMV - your mileage may vary. If your brothers are quite young, it should be alright; if you're all over 16 or so, it might be harder. It's ultimately up to the lounge dragon that afternoon, and given BA 16 leaves during a peak time, it is not likely that they will let your mum take in three adult guests.
Best of luck. I do hope you won't need to resort to duelling.

We usually get in at Qantas's Sydney lounge. However Heathrow is a joke, we couldn't even all get in when my dad was with us who is platinum.

“so as Serg would say, YMMV” – and what is wrong with that? :-)

If you are silver and QC member you would be able to bring one guest into the QF business lounge in SYD or MEL. Your QC access will not get you into BA lounges. Your mum will be able to bring one guest into BA lounge in LHR.
