Hi Upgraded with Points on a Perth - Adelaide flight a couple of days ago. I have just gone on to check my points, and the account summary says that I have not received any points or status credits for this flight? Does that sound right??
I thought you would always get a base points and status credits? With all these changes, is this something that has recently been changed?
This happened to me last week when I upgraded using points. It may not be the same case as yours, but I rang up and it was a technical error and they credited me the points within 30 minutes.
Okay, cool. Seems like it's a system glitch... thanks Goodness! Will give them a call tomorrow... Thought for a second that you no longer earn points or status when you upgrade... now THAT would be a big blow to the frequent flyers!
And how many others won't have noticed the errors, apparently ongoing for "several weeks"? Will Qantas be contacting everyone involved? You wish...they'll sit on a windfall and do nothing as always.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. I'll see if they work it out, otherwise will give them a call I guess.

Call the FF service centre and they will deal with it. There is a technical issue, which has not been resolved for several weeks.

IMHO domestic ticket purchase and upgrade is quite dubious usage of points
