Regarding ANZ credit car travel insurance. If an additional card holder books airline tickets or domestic car rental are they cover under this policy as is the primary card holder. I have rung the ANZ Platinum Card Insurance enquiry line on 3 occasions and have been given different advice on each occasion

You don't say if the additional cardholder is travelling with the main cardholder or buying a solo trip. I think it may not apply in the latter case.

This is from the ANZ Platinum insurance policy

General Policy Exclusions

What We Wil Not Pay For Under Any Types Of Cover.

We will not pay claims for, or which are directly or indirectly caused by, any of the following:

19. Additional ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Platinum cardholders unless they are the Spouse or dependent children of the ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Platinum Cardholder and are accompanied by the ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Platinum Cardholder . This exclusion will not apply while the Spouse or dependent child is travelling directly to the ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Platinum Cardholder from Australia, or directly to Australia, after departing from the accompanied ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Platinum Cardholder.

I have found the cover to be very good. Sorry about the text, it was cut and pasted from a PDF
