Travelling on CX in PE thru Hong Kong. Are the paid lounges worth it, and can anybody recommend one in HK airport, if they are worth it.

The pay-in lounge at Hong Kong is this recently-opened Plaza Premium one:

I haven't been through it myself but the value will depend on what time you're arriving at the airport and how long you're staying before your flight out – the Plaza Premium rates at Hong Kong are 2 hours at HK$400 (A$54) and 5 hours at HK$580 (A$79). Use of the shower costs HK$180 (A$24), or you can stump HK$600 (A$81) for the ‘private resting area package’ which includes a shower, food and non-alcoholic drinks during a three-hour stay.

For a short stop-over partway through the day you might find this just can't be justified, but if you're on an overnight flight from Australia and have many hours before your onwards connection, you might figure that Plaza Premium is worth the cost for the shower to freshen up, grab a good breakfast and relax before your next flight begins.
