Travelling out of SYD International soon on a QF ticket/flight number but onboard EK metal, as a Qantas Platinum will I be allowed to use the Qantas First Class lounge or will I be directed to the Emirates lounge?

Also, am I correct in assuming I need to check-in at the Emirates counters and not Qantas?

Yes, you can use the QF first lounge.  Check in at Emirates for this flight.
