Depends. If you are a Skywards or QFF member then you can fly EK/QF to DXB, then catch EK to Dublin. If you have affiliates with another airline/airline group, fly with them. Most of the Asian airlines will have direct access to Europe however Emirates would be preferred as it has only one stop @ Dubai.
I would say Etihad, they offer flights to Dublin. I have flown with them many times, great Business cabin. Plus you don't have to go through DXB, AUH is rather smaller and comfortable airport to get around.
I'm Gantas AND Velocity, but will most likley be going economy. If Etihad and Emirates are too pricey, I may have to go with Malaysian Airlines as they have two stop routes as well.
If you have enough points to fly J there with QF/EK for example you could then purchase a ticket one way inbound with MH as they're usually quite cheap as a published fare, about $1200 in Y.
I have done it on a few airlines but the last one was 2012 with Etihad in business . They say you are only as good as your last trip! So with that in mind I will go with them again ! Absolutey marvellous !

Anyone know of the best options from MEL to DUB? (Melbourne to Dublin). It's so far away that I could buy through Asia or America.

This may be an option to mix it up.
