Is there a good lounge I can access in SIN if all I have is United Club? I'm not gold or even silver in any program, and I need to get some work done during my 6 Hour layover in SIN. A few drinks, a shower and some decent breakfast also wouldn't go astray. Am travelling economy on Singapore.

To my knowledge, not with United Club. You may need to look at the changi website and find one of the paid lounges. This may allow you to work and shower, but I doubt it'll give you a full meal.

If you are travelling alot, perhaps look at getting a priority pass.

If the OP could access the entry-level Star Alliance lounges, they aren't that great anymore now that they don't even have toilets and showers, so that's pretty pointless anyway.

For breakfast, perhaps a local taste of kaya toast, eggs and coffee might be a more enjoyable experience than being holed up in a paid lounge. Most of the SIN food outlets are open in the morning and offer some kind of breakfast, from western fast food like Burger King to local tastes like Killiney, so you definitely won't starve. There are also lots of shops where you can buy drinks from the fridge (apparently they will bag it as duty-free to take on your flight if you ask).

Paid showers exist in all three terminals in SIN. For some bizarre reason, the T3 one seems to cost double the other terminals (normally they're about SGD 9 (e.g. T1 Rainforest, T2 Ambassador), but the T3 one wants SGD 17). Another option if you will be in SIN during daylight hours is actually to have a nice swim in the T1 rooftop pool (SGD 14).

According to StarAlliance.com, the only lounge you can access when flying SQ Y using your United Club paid membership is Thai's lounge. However, this may require a terminal change.

It appears that the TG lounge is in T1. Fortunately inter-terminal transfers while airside are no hiccup in SIN. Unfortunately, according to Lounge Index it too lacks showers and toilets.
