Seat selection on SIA when booked through VA

Hi All,

I have booked a seat on a SIA in business class using Velocity Points.

It does not allow me to select seats.

If I call SIA directly, does anyone know if they would allow me to choose seats?

Not sure what it's like when booking through Velocity, but when I book a VA flight with Krisflyer points the person on the phone from Singapore Airlines picked a seat for me, so maybe call Velocity and see what they can do?

I normally try and book with SQ direct, however for a flexible ticket on the same flights, it was hundreds of dollars cheaper on the VA website.

By doing some reading, try using this website to find the SQ reference number, enter your VA reference number in here: https://www.virtuallythere.com/

I was able to select seats for one flight however not another. Will still have to ring SQ however it is worth a try.

Just contact AU office and advise your e-ticket number and see how you go?

I Called VA who said they could not help me, however I did find my SQ PNR number in some of the docs emailed to me which I was able to use on the SQ website to manage my booking and select seats

Hi Jonno88 - Where within the paperwork you received from VA does it show the SQ PNR?

I found this in an the email attachment of the electronic ticket receipt. It shows a table of your flights and over to the right of the table there is a box called 'Ticket Info', one of the sub headings is called 'Airline Reservation Code' which is where mine was listed

Just rang SQ myself. Where able to allocate me an aisle seat (my prefence), however they said they can not take preferred seat bookings over the phone.

That has to be done at an SQ office.
