Hi Raymond,

I've been using the M1 prepaid SIM (M Card) when in Singapore - the cheapest SIM costs $5 for $6 of call credit + 100MB valid for 30 days. You can buy the SIM cards from Changi (all terminals) and you can then top-up online using a credit card for additional credit or data. You can get 1GB of data for S$5, S$7 or S$10 which are valid for 3, 7 and 30 days, respectively. (There's also a 3GB pack for $30, valid for 50 days).

For calls, it's S$0.08/min off-peak (8pm-8am + weekends) or S$0.16/min peak - same rates apply for dialing landlines numbers in Australia because of free IDD.

SingTel have Hi!tourist packs S$15/5 days and S$30/10 days with 4/14 GB of data and heaps of calls

If however you're talking about your Australian mobile, well it depends on your provider and plan

Having just returned from Singapore  yesterday i echo the comments of Moa999

I asked at the airport but they had run out of the  $15  sim deal cards so i just went to a 7 Eleven and bought the Singtel simcard

The only problem was that on the plan i chose  didnt allow for international texting
