I'm platinum with Emirates and will be flying Bangkok to Sydney with Emirates, then flying Sydney to regional New South Wales with Qantaslink. Both flights are on different tickets as work pays the BKK-SYD flight and I pay the Qantaslink flight. I'm wondering if I would still be allowed the 50kgs of checked in baggage for the Qantaslink trip?Â
Assuming the Qantaslink flight isn't an Emirates codeshare my understanding is that Qantas Bronze rules will apply. I'd check your receipt or itinerary from Qantas
"If you are about to make a booking on our website your ticketed baggage allowance will be confirmed on the review page before payment"
In addition to the above, the QF website offers the following:
If you are transferring from a Qantas Domestic flight to a Qantas International flight, or vice versa, on the same calendar day*, the International Baggage Allowance is accepted on both flights. Present both tickets when checking baggage in.

It all worked out, I showed my Emirates Platinum and was allowed up to 50kgs.
