I just bought my mother Emirates tickets from SYD - AKL with my credit card, I will not be travelling with her, will this be a problem? According to the Emirates site "You may be asked to show the credit card you purchased the tickets with"

It should not be a problem – just a passport should be more than sufficient to let her check in.

Definitely double check with Emirates.I have heard of pax being denied boarding because they could not show the credit card used and they had no way of talking their way out of it. What happened was that they had to puchase a new ticket on the spot with a different CC and they would be refunded on the card initially used. You could ask Emirates if they can note something down in the PNR and provide you mother with a photocopy of your credit card as well as of your passport with a note from you explaining the situation, but I think there are no guarentees (unless you get confirmed from EK that there is no issue, in which case you should get it in writing to avoid issues at check in).

Okay, just a follow up... Called them, they said it was fine, but just for precaution, you should have a scan of the card with an authorisation signature visible.
