Bonus point for FF Platinum if I book SQ flights via Virgin website?

Hi, 

Anyone know whether I will get the 100% point bonus if I book SQ flights via Virgin website? I am a Virgin Platinum.

I know I will earn 2 point per miles if I book direct with SQ for SQ flight.

Yes you will get the bonus, I did this last year,  as I wanted the bonus, and also the bonus cc points for using my velocity amex.  But ended up being a poor idea.   Firstly I had no access to make an online seat reservation,  and I could not do it on the SQ site because I had the Virgin number, and even with the SQ number it said I could not do it.  Secondly,  the purchase on the VA site was only at the saver level, not that I could see this on booking as I only got the one fare rate.  So it only attracted 0.5 points which doubled to only one.  The combination with my wife not getting any bonus the 1.5 total plus the velocity cc bonus was less than I would have got from booking the higher level fare on the SQ site which would have been approx the same price.

Yes if is a VA flight.  I did this once but never again.  No seat selection (my wife and I were not even seated together on one leg!) and much more expensive.  In Economy it is better to book SQ W class which is Economy Flexi Saver and get 1 point per mile.
