Flying out of T1 Perth this morning and surprised to find the qantas lounge is in the process of being refurbished! I would have thought with QF moving terminals no further money would be spent on the lounge, it appears to be expanding into space previously occupied by the old Emirates lounge! The lady at the desk said there will be around 2 months building work, I haven't seen any announcement from QF about this ?
Well it's still going to be used by Oneworld members, even when Qantas moves their international flights to T3. I mean, closing a lounge that's used by other members because you've moved terminals seems a bit rude.

Yep, no announcement made but a refurb is happening (although it's not expanding into the Emirates lounge) and Qantas has confirmed it'll keep the Perth T1 lounge open for partner airlines such as Cathay Pacific: more on this at https://www.ausbt.com.au/qantas-will-keep-perth-t1-international-lounge-open-after-2018
