Why such the mad excitement over these aircraft? They're hardly new models and if you want to fly one now out of Australia you can. I'd still rather fly a 380 given the choice.
QF just rebounded after heavy losses, so a new aircraft type which can make Australia-London non-stop would definitely be something worth being excited for, even if the hard product is not up to international standards.
