I would assume that the website is up to date, although certainly no guarantees.
TBIT has a limited number of check in desks, so Virgin has to check in its passengers in a different terminal.
Delta operates from both T2 and T3 in LAX, so the LAX terminal that your connecting flight operates from or to depends on your flight's origin/destination.
Flights are not moved around from one terminal to another because passengers have international connections on other airlines.

As per Tracie's reply - check in at T2 and then walk down to TBIT and go through security etc. It's only 2-3 minute walk.
