I'm OneWorld (BA) Emerald will be flying QF Y class SYD-MEL next week so will have access to the domestic Business Class lounge. A family member will be flying SYD-OOL around the same time as me on JQ.
A friend told me that with domestic QF lounges those with access can invite a guest regardless of which airline the guest is flying....or indeed flying at all. Is this correct?
That is correct, as a OW emerald you get one guest and they don’t need to be flying, let alone flying on Qantas. One thing to be aware of is that your family member will need to walk between domestic T-3 (Qantas) and T-2 (Jetstar/Virgin/tiger/etc) so they’ll need to make sure they leave enough time to get across and clear security in T-2.
