Hi Ive received an invitation from QF CEO to the SYD cocktail function.. Apparently its a road show ? Not sure of the selection criteria for this event or the content of the discussions any ideas???

Yes ALOT with OW as im based in HKG and SYD. 4k -5k per year SC but not enough QF to be P1

Looking at your Location and Occupation I can only assume you are the COO of an Australian company based in HKG, who flies QF very regularly (including sending staff on QF flights), hence QF likes to "keep in touch" with you as you are onoe of the few outside Australia in a growthmarket whome they probably make money off. Esp since you would probably also have the choice of switching business to CX.

I've been invited to one this week also. It's in Sydney on Thursday. I also attended an event two weeks ago with Qantas and it was exceptional.

I also received an invite for Thursday's event but unfortunately can't make it due to travel committments. I would have liked to have attended to hear what is in store so hopefully I will get an update some other way!

Air New Zealand acts similar to this. I own a small accounting business (14 people) and six of them are Gold Staus because we travel to meet our clients regularly. NZ sends bottles of wine in the post, as well as keeps us in the know of whats happening on the airline and Star Alliance. I presume this is just to let us know that we are somewhat valued etc. This is a nice touch (I wonder what their big corperate clients get)
