Agree . I received an email on Sunday from CX providing a list of my personal information stolen.

Two weeks prior my credit card was fraudulently accessed .Marco Polo Club members be aware.
Apparently the hack occurred several months ago but Cathay decided not to inform the 9.4 million members hacked until last week .

I heard they will offer an identity theft checking service provided by another company to make your your details aren't sold on the black market, etc.

Yes they do. How “generous” that they offer one year complementary subscription.


Poor for those having full name + Hong Kong ID cards being read. We can get replacement credit cards, we can replace passports in a different passport number. A bit hard to change phone number when you are serious business people. They cannot change ID card numbers.
