Does anyone know *how* the triple points work? Particularly in conjunction with status. I already get double points with Platinum (10x far instead of 5y fare). Will the triple points offer use those points, or will triple be applied on the basic 5x fare?
Means: If fare is AU$ 500 I would get 2500 points with no status and 5000 points with Platinum.
With triple points, do I get 15000 or only 10000 (3x 2500 base points plus another 2500 from Platinum)

Virgin Australia is now giving away triple points for all bookings until 1 April 2019 for travel before 18 Feb 2020.

I spoke to soon, actually got the email about it (am Platinum also). Maybe they stagger email send outs?
